Red Hot + Rumi + DOT.TUNES

Red Hot Organizes Week-Long Music Exchange Powered by DT
The Red Hot Organization, in conjunction with Marksmen Productions hosted nine Iranian artists for a week-long session of music production, recording and performances, all supported by DOT.TUNES.
“Red Hot Rumi” was a one-week music program in New York City organized and produced by the Red Hot Organization (www.redhot.org) in collaboration with The Marksmen. The project marked the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the great Persian poet Rumi’s birth.
Red Hot Rumi brought together some of the top underground Iranian rap, rock and R&B artists/musicians to work with Marksmen producers Kasper, Fingas, Kamron, Angola Red, The Underdog and Rich Medina. The Marksmen’s role in the project was both creative & technical as they worked to foster a collaborative networking environment for the participants of Red Hot Rumi.
The sessions were held at the Stratosphere Studios in Manhattan, where the group took over both floors and Studios A & B, working on song concepts, tracks and writing. Working at one of the several mobile production stations manned by Marksmen producers, the artists were able to listen to live feeds and works-in-progress residing on the local DOT.TUNES server and made available to everyone in the studio.
