Cocoa Tea + DOT.TUNES

Dancehall Jam Jam Powered by DOT.TUNES

Coco Tea, one of Jamaica's roots reggae legends, uses DOT.TUNES to power the music on his DancehallJamJam.com website.

MTV + Friday, The animated Series Gets Its Theme via DOT.TUNES

MTV and Cube Films are launching a new animated series inspired by Ice Cube's hit movie series "Friday". Marksmen Producers Kimson Albert, aka Angola Red, is a lead animator on the show and when he threw the word out that the theme wasn’t in place, aces from the Marksmen Guerilla Production Network stepped up to bring an updated Westside sound.

The producers posted up their theme submissions into the DOT.TUNES server, using the DTUploader, a plug-in which allows users to drop and drag content, which is then uploaded to a remote server. The client, using their unique username and password to the server, listened to those submissions from the playlist created for them, which they were able to stream, and pick a favorite.

Lez Lemon, “Lord of the Themes,” locked the gig but there were plenty of dope submissions by Mr. Khaliyl, Olu, and Kasper as well as some proper vocal assistance by Maya Azucena.

Rootz Underground + DOT.TUNES

Rootz Underground, one of the hottest live reggae bands in Jamaica with their single 'Victims of the System' holding the #1 spot on MTV Tempo for 5 weeks straight, has been noted pioneers in the digital music world.

Their use of DOT.TUNES to power the flash music player on their site has enabled them to stream the audio from live shows and premier exclusive new songs right from iTunes.

They have also utilized DOT.TUNES as a platform to deliver uncompressed AIFF files directly to Radio DJs and Soundsystems without needing to rely on file upload sites and servers with limited downloading capabilities. With DOT.TUNES, they have complete control and reporting on who got the tracks as soon as they are downloaded.

Red Hot + Rumi + DOT.TUNES

Red Hot Organizes Week-Long Music Exchange Powered by DT

The Red Hot Organization, in conjunction with Marksmen Productions hosted nine Iranian artists for a week-long session of music production, recording and performances, all supported by DOT.TUNES.

“Red Hot Rumi” was a one-week music program in New York City organized and produced by the Red Hot Organization (www.redhot.org) in collaboration with The Marksmen. The project marked the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the great Persian poet Rumi’s birth.

Red Hot Rumi brought together some of the top underground Iranian rap, rock and R&B artists/musicians to work with Marksmen producers Kasper, Fingas, Kamron, Angola Red, The Underdog and Rich Medina. The Marksmen’s role in the project was both creative & technical as they worked to foster a collaborative networking environment for the participants of Red Hot Rumi.

The sessions were held at the Stratosphere Studios in Manhattan, where the group took over both floors and Studios A & B, working on song concepts, tracks and writing. Working at one of the several mobile production stations manned by Marksmen producers, the artists were able to listen to live feeds and works-in-progress residing on the local DOT.TUNES server and made available to everyone in the studio.

Guerilla Production Network Give DT A Serious Workout

The Marksmen Lead the DOT.TUNES Revolution

DOT.TUNES, the web-based application that allows you to share the contents of your iTunes music library with friends, family and clients across the internet via any web browser, is becoming increasingly popular, as more and more people decide to join the DOT.TUNES Revolution.

The Marksmen in collaboration with Tri-Agency and WAM Party, Ltd., have been hard at work developing the application and growing its user base. Eager to give DOT.TUNES a real world test run, the Marksmen built their website totally on the DOT.TUNES platform, generating all of the site’s pages from playlists residing on their server. The site, located at http://www.themarksmen.net, was a proof of concept, and formed the basis for other DT powered sites.

The Marksmen having been steadily pushing the DOT.TUNES revolution by weaving the application into all of their regular activities. Many of their current projects utilize DOT.TUNES in some capacity, including:

DOT.TUNES Launches Its Apple iPhone Interface – working with the application’s developer, they developed a DOT.TUNES iPhone Interface, which allows users to access their full DOT.TUNES library (movies, videos and music) through a customized interface right from their iPhones

Alongside The Marksmen, the TriAgency crew has completed DOT.TUNES powered websites including www.djjazzyjeff.com, www.musicwerks.com, www.thedjreport.com and www.themarksmen.net. They are currently working on a site for www.hiphopgamerecords.com.

Red Hot Rumi - In July, Marksmen Producers Rich Medina, Angola Red, Kasper, Kamron and Fingas were brought on by the Red Hot Organization to work with nine Iranian artists and producers on the 800th Anniversary of the Persian Poet Rumi’s birth. DOT.TUNES Launches DT4 Free and Releases iPhone Interface

DT is Bigger, Better, Stronger and Faster

There's now a free way to access and manipulate your iTunes library remotely, no matter where you are in the world. It's called DOT.TUNES and it is poised to revolutionize the $2 billion online music business. While DOT.TUNES previously was available for $29.99, its developers decided that the product needed to be available for free to anyone with a love of music and who had been searching for a way to have total access to their vast iTunes libraries.

To increase the compatibility of DOT.TUNES, the company also plans to release a series of plug-ins for DT4 that will allow iTunes users to link their libraries directly to some of the hottest technology available today, including the Nintendo Wii and the iconic iPhone.

“We realized that, to increase its adoption, there was more value to giving the application away and letting people customize DOT.TUNES with various plug-ins,” said Mark Hines, of Marksmen Productions, Inc., one of the partners in DOT.TUNES.

The most anticipated plug-in is the iPhone interface, which will allow iPhone users to access their entire home iTunes library on their iPhone, over the Edge network, or via WiFi. “Currently DOT.TUNES is the only application that allows you to remotely access and manipulate your iTunes libraries onvia the iPhone,” Hines added. “We felt that we were at a historic moment, and didn’t want this opportunity to pass.”

In the upcoming months, DOT.TUNES will release a host of plug-ins for DT4, including a plug-in for the Nintendo Wii, which allows Wii users to access their music directly through their televisions, and the Uploader plug-in, which allows DOT.TUNES users to upload music tracks directly into their iTunes Application from anywhere on the web.

“Our goal is to create a platform that enhances the way people socialize, experience and interact on the internet. DT is the ultimate social networking tool because it gives users a simple, intuitive tool to perform a host of activities in a single place,” says Stephen Chukumba, Product Manager for DOT.TUNES.

“DOT.TUNES runs on Mac or Windows and utilizes the most advanced WEB2.0 technologies. With one click, a user activates the built-in web server, SQL database, and an AJAX front end – technologies which were previously available only to IT experts,” says Jeff Ayling, of WAM Party, Ltd., and DOT.TUNES Application Developer. “It takes the complexity of web servers and streaming and makes it simple. With one click a user activates the built-in web server, SQL database and an AJAX front end – technologies which were previously available only to IT experts.”

Access your entire iTunes library remotely with your iPhone + DOT.TUNES

iPhone+iTunes+DOT.TUNES=Free Your Tunes

I've been trolling the internet looking for another application that lets you access your entire iTunes library from your iPhone, but there's nothing.

DOT.TUNES is the ONLY application that gives you the ability to stream music, videos and movies directly from your iPhone.

The whole team has been rocking DOT.TUNES on their iPhones and we're spreading the word.

I'm not trying to brag, but DOT.TUNES is the truth. Its the sexiest application out for the iPhone right now, and I challenge anyone to prove otherwise.

But don't take my word for it, download the application, get the iPhone plug-in and try it out for yourself.

More indie devs bringing iTunes to Wii, PS3, PSP

Game Spot Runs Feature on DOT.TUNES

Gamespot.com, a signature online location for all things gaming related, posted a blog entry about DOT.TUNES on September 1, 2007, a sure sign that the DOT.TUNES revolution is picking up momentum.

The blog post, which is quoted below, can be found at http://www.gamespot.com/news/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=25886004.

Earlier this year, indepdent developer Orb launched a service that would allow users to access their iTunes library on Wiis, PlayStation Portables, and PlayStation 3s. Now, it looks like another independent developer is getting into the act.

Today, Wired music-tech correspondent (and former CNET editor) Eliot Van Buskirk reported that Australia-based Dot.Tunes has released new versions of its software which will allow users to stream their iTunes onto their Wiis, PS3, and PSPs. The application turns iTunes libraries into an SQL database that can then be streamed over the Web, via a secure Ajax front end, to any device that has a Web browser.

Dot.Tunes is free to download and to use to stream to other computers. However, the customized plug-ins for the PS3, PSP, and Wii (pictured) are $10 a pop. It's worth noting that Dot.Tunes is not officially supported by either Nintendo or Sony. It also requires that the Wii, PS3, or PSP browser be open and connected to the Internet, not playing a game.
